Calculate a payment

Choose Pmt with the bottom-left Solve For button, then enter Principal, Interest Rate, and Term. Down Payment is optional: enter an amount or tap its $ / % label to use a percentage of Principal. The amount financed is Principal minus Down Payment.

The result updates when all required inputs are valid. Tap = to open the amortization schedule, payoff chart, dates, and sharing options. You can also solve for Rate, Amount, or Term by entering the other three values.

If a result does not appear

Numbers remain unformatted while you edit. Move to another field to show currency, percentage, and grouping. Use Undo or Redo in the More menu to restore accepted edits. Hold Delete to keep erasing.

Set a loan start date

Open Amortization with = and change Loan start date near the top. The date is saved with the calculation and History. The first payment is one calendar month later.

Payment dates follow the original day, using the last available day in a shorter month. A January 31 start therefore gives a February 28 or 29 first payment, followed by March 31. The schedule, chart, payoff date, and exports use the same dates. Dates do not add daily interest or move payments for weekends and holidays.

Understand the payoff view

Today shows the scheduled balance and next payment assuming every payment due through today has been made, including a payment due today. It does not connect to a bank or track actual payments.

Pay it off sooner previews monthly extra payments, a one-time extra with a chosen payment, or both. Tap Apply extra payment to update the chart, schedule, and exports. Monthly extras start with the first payment; extras reduce principal after that month's interest and cannot exceed the remaining payoff. These previews assume no prepayment fees. Use regular plan returns to the original schedule without changing the saved loan.
